I am not trying to preach or sway anyone's opinion I suggest everyone do their own research and find out what is best for them but do we really condone people killing their babies by ripping them apart limb by limb because they were to young and selfish or 2 permiscous or because they are 2 poor and feel like money food ect. will be hard to provide I am a reasonable person and even though I dont support abortions in any way I do support the fact that people do have the right to make decisions in there own life so for me it is a hard one I am just tryn to get a feel on what a large public group thinks for a college paper I am doing

I find this question tough. I am religious so my 1st instinct is that abortion is obviously wrong. On the other hand I think people have the right to make their own decisions even if they are bad decisions. If abortion was illegal maybe people would be more responsible I do not know. We all have free agency the ability to choose right from wrong. No matter what, I believe an aborted baby will go to heaven. The person that aborted them perhaps not, but we can't force people to choose the right thing to do. If they really think there is nothing wrong with abortion, we can't change them we can only show them and hope they can see. Pro-life or pro-choice? I still do not know. I wish there had never been abortion though.

Hello abortion is legal. I am for abortion for many different reasons and even though i haven't had one if i did want one then i would not care what people like you think/thought.

I would have an abortion for the following reasons:
1)If i were raped
2)If the fetus had something horribly wrong with it and would only suffer a horrible life.
3)If my life were in danger and i was told i would die if i followed through with the pregnancy then i would abort because i would not want to leave my son motherless.
4)If i did not or could not handle another kid.

It is not your decision on why people have abortions. If you seem to think it is murder then how can you support the troops that kill people everyday? Abortion is a medical procedure not shooting someone in the head like the troops do.
It comes down to this:
My Body
My Sexuality
My Uterus
My Vagina
My Morals
My Life
My Choice
Not Yours

If it was a baby then they would not call it a fetus. A fetus is not a living, breathing human being until it is born and breathing on it's own.

Preach about birth control and maybe there would be less abortions.

Pro choice

Regardless of my personal views, I believe that a woman should be free to choose.

And by the way ... people do not kill their babies by using birth-control. Birth-control pills are taken so that the woman who does not want to get pregnant, would not get pregnant and then would not have to face the hardest decision anyone can make.

In the middle ages, abortion was allowed before "quickening" - before the woman could feel the fetus move. Right now, abortion in most states is absolutely allowed in the first trimester (up to 13 weeks), it is absolutely prohibited in the third trimester (after 24 weeks), and in between - is the gray area. The decision from US Supreme Court should be coming down at the end of the term in reference to what is called a "partial birth abortion" by pro-life activists. Anyway, regardless of anything else,
Woman's right to choose should not be infringed, it may be limited (i.e. no abortion procedures after 24 weeks) but not completely abridged.

For those pro-life - consider: why is your birthday celebrated on the day you were actually born, and not on the day of your conception, not on the day your mother found out she would have a baby, or not on any other milestone in the pregnancy.

Pro-choice. Yes, I know rape and incest are a low percentage rate for abortions. No, that doesn't mean people are killing their children as a form of birth control. Granted some women do and they are pretty irresponsible. But, sometimes having a baby at the specific time doesn't make sense and it's the more humane thing to do for everyone, child included. You cannot know everyone's reasons for choosing abortion. You cannot know what is best for everyone. That is why I am pro-choice.

I am without a doubt- PRO LIFE. No matter how the baby was conceived or when it does not negate the fact that that is a baby who is alive- developing but alive!!! The baby's heart beats at 3 weeks after conception, before you even find out that you are pregnant. A person that is born is not fully developed until they are 18- scientifically known fact, but that child was killed it would be murder, so how can abortion be legal- unless they legalized murder. Just because the unborn baby is not fully developed it does not mean it is not an alive human.

Pro-Life. I am a 28 yo female mother. I had always wanted a large family but due to health reasons had to have a hysterectomy at age 23, my daughter was only 2 at this time. Since then I have met numerous couples that are unable to have children and are desperately trying to adopt. It is easier to adopt children from another country then from the USA because abortion has become to easy as a birth control answer. Even now there is an abortion pill?!! Honestly I will never understand why anyone would think that abortion is an alternative.

I think the only way a abortion should be done is if the lady was raped,or there is a medical verrified emergancy like life & death and the insest would fall under the rape catagory. But if its a case of rape it should have to be proven because if not than every one would surprisingly be raped hu? with that i guess it's safe to say that i'm prolife,me & my hubby have been trying for 5 years to have a baby and just cant.Getting pregnant is not the problem at all But i loose them, they cant give me a reason, then this time i was pregnant in my left tube and had to have emergancy surgery for that,so i lost the left side.So my ??? is do theese women not think that there are couples out here that would love to have that baby in side them,to carry them and give life to them, love them, hold them and cherish them?We would love to have a baby,it doesnt have to be one that we conceived ,1 that i carried,1 that i gave birth to.Just 1 that we could give all our love to,feed, clothe, take care of,nurture and raise it and watch it grow up and become a beautiful person. But addoption can run around $70,000 we dont have that kind of money,IVF is at least $10,000 a pop,but i can get pregnant i just keep loosing them as i said, and we didnt realize that a baby now has a price tag if you want one,and its out of our price rang. But how do they compare love, care, and all that taking care of and loving a child being there at all times for it t the money? The money can not but that child love.I have 1 son he is 11 so i always thought i could have another, see i took that for granted boy wasnt i wrong,I thank God daily for the 1 ,but that doesnt stop the breaking of my heart for another, the longing down so deep that nothing can feel.So why not think about some of us women who dont have a choice? And treat that mirical just as it is a mirical and not kill it,but give it life!!

Well im 8 months pregnant and i would never have one but it's really no say what people do with their bodies. If you don't like it then don't do it. i do not belive in abortion after the 1st trimester though, i think that's sick, they tear the little babies arms adn legs out one by one, it's really sad. BUT WHY WOULD YOU GO ONA PREGNANCY SIGHT AND TALK ABOUT THIS. DID YOU KNOW THAT ALMOST ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE ABORTIONS REMEMBER THEM AND THINK ABOUT IT EVERY DAY. ALSO DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY CHILDREN ARE UP FOR ADOPTION TODAY..... TO MANY I WOULDN'T WANT TO ADD ANOTHER. i don't think it should be used as a form of birth control and any woman who has multiple abortions deserves the result of infertility. You would have so many suicides and gross things happening if the made it ileagal

I think that people who support pro-choice should use their choice while having unprotected sex but once you are pregnant then it is not your choice to determine that whether it will live or not. And if you think you cannot raise a child then you can use your brain and not enter into a relationship but the problem is people want to have fun without any responsibility. It is really disgusting to see people support abortion just because the unborn baby cannot speak for itself. This means that if you have a baby who is deaf and dumb then you may kill that baby anytime bcoz maybe you don't want it. Shame on all the people who are pro-choice.

I think a person has the right to one mistake but several should be against the law, I personally would not have an abortion, because it took me 23 years to get pregnant and when I found out my sister had ab abortion it broke my heart, (didn't find out till recently) but at the time she knew I was desperate for a baby and I would have taken that baby in a heartbeat and raised it. One thing I am 100% against is late term abortion there should never be any reason for that! people don't stop to think that one day they may regret their decisions but can't ever erase them.
