If it is 2*( 4xy-7)

= 8xy -14

If it is (4xy-7)^2= (4xy-7)(4xy-7)= 16x^2y^2 - 28xy -28xy +49
= 16x^2y^2 - 56xy +49

distribute the 2 to get 4xy(2) - 7(2) this equals 8xy - 14. that's as far as you can go

(4xy-7)2
I think you're asking for that number squared. (4xy-7)^2 (or the two is raised)

If so,
(4xy-7)^2 =
(4xy-7)(4xy-7) =
16x^2y2 - 56xy + 49

(4xy-7)2 = 8xy-14

or

x = 14/8y
x=7/4y

or

y14/8x
y=7/4x

but other than that not sure what you're looking for
