We try, but the governments in the most needy countries want their people to die.

Believe it or not money is not the answer to everything. The world could have no money at all and still be able to feed everyone. I agree with those that say it may be a way of "population control" as cruel as it may seem.
I believe that a lot of the problem is poor soil and harsh weather in the places that are hard up for food. Livestock can not be kept and crops can not be grown. No amount of money can change that.
If you look at it...and all of the other countries would give enough food from their countries to them to help every one in the world to survive, it would be an on going thing, it would have to be that way forever, and yeah that would be nice, but it would eventually drain resources to the point that everyone would be in poverty and starving.
I know there are a lot of people in the world starving, but...no one is making them have more kids...so the poor children that are starving...whose fault is that really?! Maybe they need some birth control help instead of food help.
(I am just referring to people and countries of people that KNOW they can not feed their children, and still subject them to that kind of a life, I'm not trying to be offensive to anyone!)

The world should be able to feed itself.
If you consider some of the very poorest countries in Africa, (Mocambique for example) you will discover that it has an excellent climate, superb topsoil and the capacity to be the breadbasket of Africa. Instead it was rated (a few years ago) as the poorest country in the world.
Perhaps all these wise people who blame on the rich and the republicans can explain that.
Zimbabwe (was Southern Rhodesia) is another example. Inflation at 1600% - yes 1600% and people starving. Compliments of Robert Mugabe and his ZANU party. Black Africans call it Uhuru. That means 'freedom' What it really means is corrupt dictatorships and black racism. Of course that thought is not popular or comfortable or politically correct. It just happens to be the truth.
My advice to you is to stop worrying about it. If you want to do something good for the poor, start at home.

the reason we can't feed the world is because there is too much government burrocracy going on and well since Africa is the most in need of this help it is also a policiy of what race you are that determinds in some cases if you get the help you need. As am american i have notice this wor way too long and well whish to change the status quo about hunger in the world, but it not going to just going to be done by one person alon it is going to take all of us together in every western weathy contry to pull together to end hunger in the world untill then the mainly third world countries will go hungry

There is no real reason why we cant feed the world
Most of the leaders in the starving countries are fat
So clearly some are getting the food
We waste so much food its heart breaking to see people on TV dying of hunger when food is just rotting away
The governments could get together and sort this problem out once and for all there must be away

There is enough food, there is enough money, there is just not enough will to do. The real solution to feeding the world is in the hands of politicians, what good are most of them?

The world as a whole is wealthy. But this wealth is shared by a few countries about five or six who control world wealth. It is a matter of problem of distribution. How the world wealth can be equally distributed? Two options are Trade and Aid.Improving international trade by introducing free trade may reduce distribution gap.But this requires a lot of political will.As regards providing econmic aid ,there are many political ideologies and effective monitoring aid are difficult to decide.UN was not able to do much in this regard.A combination of aid and trade may be more useful in poverty eradication programmes.

We have the resources, but the poorest countries are often those with the least stable, most corrupt and most warlike governments. The food does not get to the people - the leaders keep it all, to sell or to deliberately starve those citizens it wants to get rid of. So even the aid that is given - which is probably not enough - does not get through.
This in a world where obesity is killing millions and tons of food are thrown away every minute.
Sad.

The answer is simple. If a country has something of value for the industrialised countries, eg. oli / petrol / gas / gasoline / strategic value(!).
Then they are fostered and protected by "good" friends . They feed and care for this country, even if poor
In this context we can discuss here, the reasons of the last 2 Iraq wars.
If a country has nothing to trade, then there is NO interest .
Sad but true.
I hope EU will come more close to my ideal of a better world.

Somewhere I read give a man a fish and he eats for a day.
Show a man how to fish and you have fed him for life.
Why should we feed the world. Can they not plow their own lands.
Sow there seeds. Those countries have been around 1000's of years longer than us.
Sam Kinison had a good idea, move out of the desert. Move to where the food is.
It's not greed, it has been proven welfare does not work.
People then become lazy and dependent. Instead of self
reliant. They need to get off their own lazy asses
and take care of themselves. Stop having babies use a condom.
How did America become so wealthy. Democracy and Capitalism. Hard work PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
