I would leave them......here is what they are for though:
Abbyy Fine Reader 6.0 Sprint: This is for after you scan something, it makes it into a word document to edit text.

Adobe Flash PLayer 9 Active X: is for multimedia and games. it makes them run better.

Adobe Reader 7.0.8: This is for reading a certain type of text.....which is usually used online.....and it makes it easy to save online text.

Well Ken
I am not familiar with the Abbyy Fine Reader 6
but I am assuming here that it is a document reader of sorts-- I know I don't have it and so-- you could probably live without it too

The Adobe Flash Player though is extremely important (at least to me) it is the device on board that facilitates the playing of all sorts of "flash" content in webpages--- a superb utility to have

The Adobe Reader is an all time favorite of mine and it should be yours too--- this is one of the absolute best PDF readers that has ever hit the marketplace !!! My suggestion to YOU though -- would be to upgrade (it's free) to the newer version Adobe Reader 8 --- it available at several download centers all over the net--- and at the Adobe site itself !!!

Hope this helps you out---and --- have a great day !!!

Adobe reader reads some document types. Abbyy sound like same thing. I think the adobe flash player helps open some windows in webpages. Kill them and see if you have problems! You can always get 'em online free again.

Yes, they are all associated with Adobe's suite. They allow you to read files (.pdf format). The flash player allows you to see websites with active graphics etc. None of those are harmful, or malicious.
