I have been thinking of buying a series 1 mazda rx7

are they any good and do the motors need to be always tuned?

Rotary engines are about the most reliable design there is. there are only about 5 moving parts as opposed to over 200 moving parts in a conventional engine. They can run for several hundred thousand miles when properly maintained. As far as tune-ups, just stay with a regular schedule, about every 18-24 months.

I had a mazda rx2 back in the 70s and it was a good engine. Not very good mileage, but it was fast. Things may of changed in 30 years
