Some learn it naturally, but having all of them climbing and get them down is definitely worth the price of a few coconuts. So my suggestion is to take 4 or 5 coconuts and implant then firmly into the tree at about 5 feet distance between. They will serve as substitute ladders.

You can also try arrowing them (with bamboo arrows for instance), but you'll need a strong bow and a bit of patience. It's also recommended to sterilize them first.
