i`m on a contract at the moment but i want to go pay as you go when it finishes. i want to stay with the same network, so can i keep my number?

You should be able to. If you can take your number when you change provider you should be able to keep it as you are staying with the same provider.

Youu should be able to drop you tariff by calling up your network's customer service number. You need to be at least half way through a contract to do this......and yes you can keep you number....however even though you are dropping it to pay as you go you may still be eligible to pay the basic line rental for the rest of the contract.

Yes. most companys will let you do this for a small fee!
If you change to another provider then ask your current one for a PAC number (Porting Authority Code).
If they dont want to let you drop down to pay as yo go Threaten to cancel and tell them it's best for them to keep getting a little money off you each month rather than nothing at all

unless things have changed in the last 12 months when i tried to keep mine...
then ime sorry but you carnt stay with the same number, if it was the other way round then yes cuz you woulld own the number but cuz you wont be paying for it no more they wont let you keep it....

Yes you can.

When you get your new sim card. Do not register it until you phone your provider, and they will be able to change the number over.

Even if you move providers you can keep the number, but you will need your PUK code - but your old supplier should give you this if you ask them

you can usually just tell them once your contract is up that you wish to go to pay as you go and they will sort it out for you

if you are in America you can keep the same phone # even if you switch net works
