what do people think of limewire and what problems have you had with it? i deleted it but want a free replacement anyone know of any??

It's a great idea but I have spent alot of time downloading files such as Logic, only to find it contained an adobe file of playboy - nice I suppose if I was a guy.
However, despite having Norton security with all updates it still ate 2 of my hard drives - beyond repair and I lost all my stored info.
Now I won't touch it - there's a reason it's free and it's not being generous. There's alot of viscous people out there that take advantage of the site.

This all depends on how strong is you virus protection is on your computer. I use limewire but that's only because I have an extremely awsome virus thingy and one day, It just crashed and my computer ended up with about 100 viruses. So yeah....

I used to have Limewire, but it ground to a halt.
Change now to BIT TORRENT - it took a little while to figure out how to download stuff, but it seems more reliable - I would recommend it.

I use it some times for music (only ever got 2 viruses from there), along with TorrentSpy, Ares and soulseek.

Dont do it!!!! Virus/spyware/adware etc horrible, I had to restore my computer to factory settings losing everything!!!...Limewire=Evil..try bitcomet whole albums and clean..

bittorrent is good you can download whole albums and serieses of shows.
