We had a water fountain next to the bathroom. If we had to go bad, they would let us but we worked on an assembly line and it messed everything up for everybody when you did. We got a 15 min break every 2 hours and they expected us to wait until then. By law they only have to give you a break every 4 hours. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to relieve yourself on your own time. If you complain about it you might find yourself unemployed.

Yes, we were allowed have water at our stations...but, you couldn't drink their water cause they had polluted it and some of their neighbors' water too. There are signs all over that the water is not "palable". They supplied us with water fountains, too.
We were allowed to go to the bathroom...not too often, tho...if you were at a machine; you had to get someone to fill in for you to go potty. I am retired from there on disability, now.

yeah, and I can eat here too if I want to AND use the bathroom if I wasnt allowed to I would just deal with it...I would get a break at least for lunch. call centers are that way. I could never work at one of those.

sounds like you work in a call center...i worked in one that we had to have a "spill proof" cup...and only water was allowed. You couldn't go fill it yourself, you had to raise your hand and a supervisor would come and get it, fill it up and bring it back...the only time you were allowed to go to the bathroom was on your schedualed break...it sucked.
Where I am now, I can have whatever I want at my desk, actually, have a cup of coffee sitting here now...and it isn't in a spill proof cup! lol.

That's like borderline abuse - u could def report that. I should absolutely be able to use the rest room and get a drink and or have one near your work station
Honestly, if I didn't have to work there, I would quit - if i couldn't quit I would complain.

yes, water only, yes to the fountain & yes to the bathroom, I would call the department of labor or the labor relations board if water & bathroom privileges were denied me

I'm allowed drink water at my desk and use the bathroom as I please. But if I wasn't allowed I'd probably complain to the HR

I'm really quiet... But If you mean ALLOWED of course Iam!
But then again, if I was a boss and had an employee who wanted a break every 5 mins... I would eventually put my foot down.
Have you been misusing your breaks?

we have to submit a written request in writing to our written supervisor who writes a response to our written request...
these writings must be submitted on a monthly basis for no more than 10 beverage leaves per month and no more than 15 restroom leaves per month.
if not allowed, we just wear our depends
