I am bit cut and dry about these things. Friendship is all about sharing and balance. Personally I never like to feel used or cheated and I feel both when someone only wants to 'use' me when I apply to certain areas of their life. Of course you can have differnt friends with different personalities and lifestyles, but the common denominator is you and the way they perceive and treat you.
I would bring it up with her, challenge her. There is nothing at all wrong with supporting a friend but remember that its all a two way street and you dont want to just be a doormat

No friends are not meant to be there only in good times surely that is not a friend she is only using you because she only calls you when she need help.
Just a little advice please don't go on that way look for a true friend because when one day you'll be needing a friend's help,
your 'friend' will not be there for you. Choose another friend and choose wisely. All the best.

I have or I should say had a freind like that. You need to stop being available to her you are only going to get hurt. There are a lot of people in the world, you need to find a real freind, that is going to be there for you, not just you being there for her. She is not a friend, she is a user.

I had a friend like that and decided enough was enough, the last time she asked me to do something on her behalf, which I felt really awkward about doing, I said I couldn't and thats the last I've heard from her (3 months now).
You don't need people who only want to use you.

Just move on and find a new friend, it's all about caring and sharing with each other. She is not a friend just a user.

i work with a girl who asks me for money everytime i turn around. and i know exactly what you mean-- she never specks unless she wants something. think of her as a little puppy... begging for your food... if you can train a puppy, you can train your friend... don't let it get to you... just brush her off everytime she wants something... and you'll feel better that she not getting under your skin... and she will finally learn that she can't get whatever she wants from you... =)

It sounds like she is using you! Perhaps you you should stop being friends with her. I was "used" once by someone I thought was my friend. He moved away owing me a few thousand pounds. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
