Its clear that confusion surrounds the war ,our economy , and the general state of this once great nation .
Clearly there exists a number of problems and half the nation thinks prayer , Jesus , and a government job is the answer .
The other half feel that government should lead the way and make opportunity's available in the form of programs to aid the less fortunate among us .
One group feels Jesus is the answer and the other an injection of jobs , opportunity and tax dollars are needed .
Now clearly only one group is correct
So if it is not apathy or ambivalence then what is it that keeps America from solving its most drastic problems .
What could it be .
We know that religion provides nothing to those who have lost jobs at Ford , Chevrolet , Chrysler and other solid American jobs .
People need work that pays the bills and Bush provides nothing sustainable in this economy . Military build up is a drain ,as is the war ,on tax payers .
When will we wake and take action .

yes there's apathy and the what's in it for me , but that's just not in the US ,it's in Canada, Britain and probably most countries when you talk to the average person.

Many people just don't care anymore because no matter what party is elected they don't see any improvement in their lives.

I don't see the younger generations stepping up to mass protest what happens in our country. Certainly not like it was in the 60's.

Apathy is definitely a problem with the people today.

But if we're talking about our elected officials, then a big problem is the bipartisan government. Dems and Repubs do not agree on most issues and essentially stalemate each other at every turn.

Also, our elected officials generate too much soft money via lobbyists. They do not make laws to serve the people, they make laws to serve big business; whoever happens to be filling their pockets with cash.

It all comes down to priorities, I believe. And mankind, in general, has lost its way...

Look to the educational system in the United States...more money is spent on athletic equipment than educational tools.

Look at the socio-political issues of the day...gay rights and abortion. There is so much violence and hatred surrounding those issues, fuelled by those that claim Christianity as their basis for argument that it is difficult to believe that there is much Christianity left in our society.

Look at the deceit at the highest level of government - the leader of the United States openly lied to a nation and led it to war...and people support him for it!

Look at the overwhelming coverage that so-called celebrities receive in every form of media...there isn't a half hour newscast in the land that doesn't spend at least 1/3 of their time discussing Anna Nicole Smith, Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears!

You don't need to look to other parts of the world to see the decline of society...just look at America. The Greatest Nation in the World. HA!

When was this that the US was a great nation? When we owned Africans and killed the natives? Don't fall for that apathy line. I marched in a protest BEFORE the attack on Afghanistan started. With students against sweatshops I stand in solidarity with workers all around the world. When has that ever happened before?

Never. Apathy reigns. These unionists, these failed communist unions, who sold out workers for a higher wage, these pathetic excuses for humans have gone to work at Honda and Toyota. Either that, they retire with 100k. My dad worked at a job for 30 years, lost it, and gets 150 a month.

Neo-liberalism is dead. Only Unity in Faith in Christ and faith in our fellow workers will help us now.

My dogs understands my sons call. I ask her to locate Oskar and she or he runs to him. it rather is probable because of the fact he's merely a little one and that i'm constantly asserting his call, and have been at domicile lots of the day so she's listening to me call his call lots :)
