I am a non-smoker, not an anti-smoker. I think pub owners should be allowed to decide whether to allow it in THEIR pubs. Then, everyone has a choice. Pubs are their to meet their customers requirements, not their employees. In that regard, the passive smoking argument has been exagerated to the point, where it has become a lie.
I'm sorry, I can't give you chapter and verse, because it has become so ridiculous, I have lost interest. Don't you think that they will try and ban it completely, as the reaction so far has been hysterical?
If you are an heroin addict (as against a tobacco adict) you can be treated in hospital for it, and receive free heroin. And, I have never heard of a tobacco smoker committing crimes to support his habit. Also, if you smoke tobacco, you may not get treatment in hospital for various maladies.

Well I live in Scotland and we,ve had the smoking ban for a year now.Basically you cannot smoke in any public places including shopping centres, pubs, restaurants even taxis. I,m a smoker and when I am out anywhere socially you have to stand outside, some clubs, pubs etc do have smoking shelters with ashtrays but usually you just have to stand like a social leper regardless of the weather.
But I have to say, you do get used to it and it is quite pleasant entering a smoke free zone, it also gives you some incentive tot try and give up, unfortunately I haven,t been to successful on that part!

germany and bulgaria are not adopting this government law.our local bingo hall is building an add on building for smokers only, and so they should.just remember, taxes will go through the roof if this is not reversed.they have already revoked it in parliament so they can still smoke in the tea rooms and bars.

Simple answer....Don't smoke or THEY will get you. THEY will fine you and you will be vilified. Us smokers are not wanted by THEM and THEY are out to get us. Be careful if you smoke and where you smoke. If you see THEM don't let THEM see you smoking and if THEY do, run for it. Be afraid, be very afraid.
