I think you should try and shore up your pitching core. With zimmerman and roberts you're still okay at those positions but you can probably get more for your buck with Arod than just an older 3B, cantu and a hot new prospect who's unproven. I'd try to get a second top tier pitcher along with Matzuzaka. Definately counter offer.

I would keep A-Rod. Rolen and Cantu are injury prone. A-rod is always an MVP type player. Also no one know how Matazuka will do since this is his first year in the league. I recommend trying to trade someone else for just Matazuka.

A-Rod is a first round pick. Rolen and Cantu are not. I don't think they are even in the top 4 rounds.

Also, you do not need Cantur since you have Roberts and Kinsler which are both better than Cantu.

do it, rolen is going to have a solid year, your pitching is pretty bad, rogers doesn't get K's and is getting older, CC & Brad Penny are injury prone. You will be getting a top line starter with Dice K, low ERA, lots of wins and Ks. Im not a fan of Giles.

You do need pitching help, but giving up A-Rod you should be recieving either Santana or a package deal, don't pull the trigger. Consider moving Zimmerman, who had a real good year last year, but lost Soriano so expect a power dip.

I'd make this trade in a heartbeat.
