Every institution has got its own work ethics handouts. Based on that, if the institution you are talking about states that a teacher could be fired for treating a student in such a 'silly' way then of course they can.

Personally speaking, this individual should not be called a teacher even. This profession demands high level of tolerance and if you lack it you are never a good teacher.

Sounding bit extreme!!! Look I always say it is teachers who make you study and it is teachers who make you run away from studies either. If you treat a child such a way, what do expect of him or her?

He'll try avoiding your classes first. This would certainly lead to poorer performance in tests and this shall eventually be killing child's interest in that particular topic.

the teacher is more likely to get fired for not teaching to the correct standard if this is an example of the work their pupils are producing!

Who was crying? The teacher or the pupil? Is the teacher male or female? Is the pupil male or female?

You can't expect people on here to give you sensible advice if your question isn't clear in the first place!

if a teacher has humiliated a pupil in their class, that pupil or others should be able to go to the headteacher to report it. However, the teacher is unlikley to be fired straight away, they will probably get a warning if the head decides the situation is serious enough. If incidents like this continue, then the teacher could be suspended or disciplined or fired, but this would be a lengthy process as the the local education authority, the teaching unions and Board of Governors would need to be involved

Yes, your teacher could (and should!) be fired for saying those things. They're unprofessional and offensive.

You should speak to a counselor or principal at your school. Tell him or her exactly what happened, and be prepared to give a list of other students who heard the comments.

If they don't take you seriously, ask a parent or another teacher to come with you and try again.

Be prepared for the process to drag on for a while. There may be hearings, meetings, and so forth before anything happens, but I hope that the teacher will be disciplined.

Saying "you are retarded and you take up too much space" is verbal abuse and you should tell an adult as soon as possible. That teacher might not get fired because I don't know the principal and the superintendent of your school, but if enough people complain than something might be done.

It is never acceptable to make fun of someone else and we teachers are supposed to models for our students. How can we expect the kids to hold it togather if we don't.

Please tell an adult you think will help you.

they can get fired if a big enough fuss is made, but its unlikely. and please use the spell checker. you make very little sense and sound ridiculous

'kan' is spelt with a C...
'retared' is spelt retarded
and dont say 'cuz'; its 'because'

please pay better attention to lessons. people will tease you if you can't read or write properly, which you obviously can't at the moment

take care x

If the person was your English teacher, he or she should be fired for gross incompetence.
