Here's a list of veggies and fruits I feed Miller my guinea pig.
-strawberries
-blueberries
-Alfalfa sprouts
-Timothy Hay
-Little cherry tomatoes (high in vitamin c)
-Apples
-Dried banana chips or bananas
-Yellow squash
-Timothy Chubes
-Carob chews (Yogies)
-Grapes
-Honeydew melon
-Cantolope
-Spring spinach (stay away from iceberg lettuce-it does not have nutritional value in it)

And for water. Use filtered only. Buy a Pur water filter for you and your guinea pig's health.

Also make sure that you add 5 drops of vitamin C or Vitamin liquid (intended for guinea pigs) water source. Keep the clean cage once a week using Carefresh. Keep them from away from drafts or windows and buy a little igloo shelter so they can sleep undisturbed. Hold your pig everyday and support his behind when picking him up. They are very social creatures.
Congratulations on your piggie!

All vegetables are good to feed to guinea pigs but not too much lettuce or cabbage. Give plenty of variety together with good quality hay and a complete guinea pig food and your new pet will be happy and healthy. You can also give them small amounts of fruit but not too many dried ones as the sugar is concentrated in dried fruit.
Introduce new stuff to your Guinea Pig gradually so you don't create tummy problems. Enjoy your piggy they make wonderful pets.

Some of the best fruits, veggies, and greens are these.

Spinach,
Mustered Greens,
Collard Greens,
Parsley,
Cilantro,
Celery Leaves,
Strawberry leaves,
Celery,
Carrots,
Cucumber,
Bell Peppers,
Broccoli,
Strawberry,
Raspberry,
Grapes,
Apples,
Oranges,
Tomato,

Don't feed him/her lettuce as it has no nutritional value and iceberg lettuce causes colic in Guinea Pigs. Make sure to give him/her more veggies and greens, with a little bit of fruit as to much fruit can cause stomach aches, and diabetes due to the sugar in fruits.

Good Luck to you.

An adult guinea pig needs 2.3 mg of Vitamin C per pound of their body weight and pregnant guinea pigs require 13.4 mg of Vitamin C per pound of body weight. The guinea pig will appreciate some variety and so it is best to feed a mixture of fruit, vegetables and plants.

If too much fruit or vegetables is fed and left in the cage this should be removed and replaced the next day to avoid it being left and becoming mouldy.

Some Fruit, vegetables and herbs that are safe to feed a guinea pig are listed below with the mg Vitamin C per 100 grams marked in brackets (according to the USDA Nutrient Database).

Congratulations on your new piggie! They are such wonderful sweet pets.

Any veggie is good, but please stay away from any bulb type plants such as potato, onion, garlic, etc. as they tend to be poisonous to pigs. If a pototo or its peel is even the slightest bit green, it can kill them. Also stay away from iceburg lettuce, as it has no nutritional value and will give them diarrhea.

Good veggies include Romaine, curly lettuce, parsley, cilantro, bell pepper, endive, escarole, etc. Celery can be given in moderation, but make sure it is cut into small pieces as the long strings on the stalk can cause digestive problems. Fruits such as apple, banana, cantaloupe, strawberry, watermelon, and orange can be given as treats only due to their high sugar content. Piggies' all time favorite, carrots, can be given as a treat also. Even though its a veggie, it does have a higher sugar content.

Make sure your new piggie has an unlimited supply of quality hay and high quality pellets. Oxbow is a good source, as is Kleenmama. Both can be ordered via the internet. Fresh, clean water should be supplied at all times.

Best of luck to you....enjoy that sweet piggie!

There are many good foods to feed it. Deep green vegetables are really good for them. They like peppers, carrots, apples, celery, and bananas. My 4 guinea pigs LOVE dandelions! They are free and you can get enough of them anywhere! Now you don't have to spray dandelions, the guinea pig will eat them!!!

Dont just feed it guinea pig food!!!!!!! They love all kinds of veggies, and you DONT have to crush them up. They love carrots, lettuce, and much much more. You will just have to see which ones he likes best. They all have different taste.

Well, you could probably feed it crushed up carrots. But I would recommend just feeding it guinea pig food.
