Why should the child be kept inside and punished/banned from the playground just because he/she cannot walk? That is very cruel. Children enjoy being around other children. You can put a blanket on the ground if the ground is cold, or let him or her sit on some of the playground equipment. All he or she really wants is to be with other kids. Keeping him or her inside makes her feel unwanted and like he or she is being punished just because he or she can't walk. Put yourself in his or her shoes. How would YOU feel?
