yes, and the do grow back, but a little funky. never really the same as it was originally

Yes, after a baseball was pitched at my thumb while I was holding the bat.

I've also broken my nose in two places by smashing my head (from top to bottom) between a roll of carpet padding and the floor of the truck I was loading it onto. It busted my head like an orange.

I lost a toenail back in grade school after I fell off of my bike. Pretty gross, and it took the new nail forever to grow. It was the big toe on my left foot.

I've lost my right thumb nail twice from getting smashed/ripped off, and I lost 3 toe nails in a motorcycle accident because my shoes came off in the wreck.

No but once I ran my hand down a paneled wall and a piece of wood slid underneath my fingernail about 3/4 of the way down...one of the most painful things ever to happen to me (now I know why it is used for torture)......

I lost a toe nail when I was 12, back in the early 70's, a dresser drawer fell on my big toe nail, OMG did I ever do a dance then, it hurt sooooo bad!

no but i lost my fingernail from a false mnail getting caught in a pram popper! i did it like 2 1/2 years ago and it still wot grow as long as long as my normal nails

yeah, but it did come off right away. First it got all black, and hurted sooooo much. Then I felt like if my toe went to sleep, or something like that. And at the end, the nail just fell.

i never have luckily but i had a Friend that would loos one for a while about once every 2 months i felt Riley bad for her i think she put lots of antibiotics on it to keep it from getting infected and it made it fill a little better

Did you just hurt yourself or something?..yeow! Yes I have,but not in years..although....Last week I stubbed my pinky toe & the nail just popped off!
Of course you have to look really hard to even see my pinky toe nail as its very small..thats what I get for having munchkin feet I suppose..=)*sigh*
