i was told that their is a tanning thing out which you spray on your body and really works well, but i was told that it can cause cancer, is this true.

There is so much that is unknown about cancer that no one can really say for sure unless there have been tests and studies done. If the product does contain a carcinogen, it legally would have to be put on the label. I highly doubt stores would carry cancer in a can, then again, they do carry cigarettes.

Find the brand name and do a search on the internet to see if there are any studies that will show carcinogenic studies of that brand.

No, it's probably a misunderstanding. A spray tan is just the same thing as a self-tanner out of a bottle, only it's in spray form. It's completely safe.

Now, getting in a UV tanning booth may cause skin cancer, but that's a completely different thing.

If you want a spray tan, go for it. You'll be fine.

The problem is that it appears anything can cause cancer, but there is no honest way to determine that

It is far safer than actual tanning and probably harmless
