Under FDR, Kennedy, Johnson and Carter administrations yes. Under Bush...hell no !

I would say yes. Remember our country is still very young in comparison to the rest of the world.We have definitely made progress over the years.

freedoms we have are evident - we can go anywhere within the country, and we have the right to vote, free speech, etc.
