Me detecteth British wit in Yanks clothing or a March Hare!
Having said that, it is well to note that there would is plenty of reasons to celebrate in England.
England won in the sense that the American colonies now must pay for their own violent layabouts, including Bush, Cheney, and not a few other religious and mental rejects.

No-one that I know of celebrates Independence Day in the UK, although some Americans that live here may do so. I once said "Happy Independence Day" to an American friend living in England, and he simply ignored it - he wasn't interested in Independence Day or anything to do with America.

I have lived in the UK for 20 years and I do not know a single Brit who celebrates US Independence Day.
I usually barbecue (weather permitting) or go and have a "Kick-*** Lemonade" at The Big Easy in London, but I'm American by birth.

Independence day is rubbish and us Brits don't celebrate it. The only reason Paul Y and the rest of the insane yanks celebrate it is because they won the freedom to inbreed. Furthermore Paul Y (**** of america) the only reason the sun has set on the British Empire is because of USAs disgusting terms under WW11. We even had to give away our discovery of the jet engine.

We were visiting my OH's family in America, and when I said that we don't celebrate independence day over here, they asked why not! Then my sister-in-law cottoned on and laughed !
Actually I suppose people on the US airfields, like at Fairford might celebrate it. But then, that is classed as a little bit of US soil, not UK.

I'm a Brit and after just doing a quick survey...no one knows what you're talking about. We do not celebrate Independence Day at any time of the year. Whatever made you think we do?
