Trying to decide which game station to buy....I've heard the Wii is somewhat for kids, but the PS3 is ridiculously overpriced.....can anyone with experience on both Platforms weigh in?

The PS3 isn't that much different than the PS2. Does the cost really offset better graphics? That's really all you're paying for! The WII's graphics are childlike but that's part of the fun... you are playing a "game". It is very interactive. The day after I got it, my entire body hurt due to the extensive "jabbing" and "hooking" as I kicked my son's butt in boxing! We haven't stopped using it yet! It gets you off the couch and moving! For $250 you get a video game system that gets you active, allows you on the internet and lets you plug in your digital camera mem card to view, and play with your photos!! Five Stars!!!

I don' own a PS3 but I do have a wii. I have played a PS3 a few times before, I didn't like it as well as the wii. I love the wii and it is really fun. Don't believe anyone who says that wii is for babies because there are plenty of games that will satisfy adults like Red Steel and Zelda. The PS3 is overpriced and not worth it either. You can't beat $250 for the wii and Wii Sports. And there are some great games for the wii comming out later this year that are going to be really great like Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

both systems are great but are nothing alike.
the ps3 is a power house system with great graphics and features like dvd and bluray playback and you can put your mp3's on it and pictures and all kinds of stuff
the wii is strickly a gaming machine, the fact that wii controller allows you to interact more with games is a plus
the better machine is the ps3 in the long run
but for the price the wii is also a good choice
i suggest you get the wii for now and maybe in a couple months and at the end of the year think about getting the ps3

The ps3 has alot of good games and great graphics but the price is too high. The wii has a newly design controller and a very cheap price. It has a new way of playing video games. I would go with the wii.

Go with the PS3.the Wii is fun for about 30 mins to an hour then you realize you just bought a game console for a wittle baby.......lol The graphics are terrible on the Wii games, I mean really bad like old time Sega games were better....

my unle gave me a ps3 for christmas. it was good. as you would expect from a playstation. but when another uncle gave me a wii, i totally gave up the ps3. the wii is much better. plus, its as white as a unicorn and just as rare. i even read in a mag that wiis are out of stock the second they arrive in the us. well, luckily i leave near japan. its easier (but still hard) to get one.

wii-game play /cheep---but graphics not to good but ok
ps3-graphics /expensive---lags and easy to break
