They are mothers too and never lose that instinct to nurture.

If you have a mother, tell her to the brakes on it right now. I had a mother that interfered with every decision I made with my son. She would put me down in front of him on my rules a decisions. It was really hard. My son now is 22 and realizes what she tried to do...But I learned not to tell my mother anything about my life or any situation that happened with my son. It was hard because I lived close to her and talked to her all the time. Now I discuss the weather and TV shows. and that's all. The more you let people like know about your life the more they will interfere. Good Luck

it will be 10 years this month since my grandmother passed away. She was like a Mother to me, even though my own Mother was a wonderful Mother. I had TWO Mothers who loved and cared for me. Cherish your Grandparents. They bring a different kind of love than a Mother's love..... it's how life is. You will see it when you are doting on your grandbabies. :)

haha, oh my god, i know EXACTLY what you mean. My grandma does the same thing (she writes in my birthday cards about how much she hates my tattoos...) .
I think they do it because its a natural order, you know. They raised your parents, and then know how your parents should raise you, so they try to raise you too.
Its annoying as hell but its only ever done out of love.

only the dumb ones do this. the smart grandmother will treat you with respect and even be your advocate with her daughter to protect her grandchild..grandmothers who are mean to their grandchildren will be left to a lonely fate...no tears at their funeral..i had this happen in my family

they are older RESPECT THEM no matter what they say or do
