She's probably hard of hearing-that's why the music is so loud. You say she is really nice, so why don't you go and politely ask her to turn the volume down? I'm sure she doesn't even realize that she is disturbing someone.

I had that same problem with my downstairs neighbor and we later came to be very good friends. There are two things you can do. One is buy her some headphones and say it's great music, but it's so loud you can't concentrate, sleep, etc. OR you can leave a note on her door and say it's nice music but it's extremely loud, and hey, why not stop by for some oreos and tea some time- then don't sign the note, ha ha! So she doesn't know where to stop by, but you get the message across.

Since you sound like you do not like loud music, must you outdo her? Why can't you look at the panacea from a moral perspective? I mean, teach her that too loud music is only for the immatures by maintaining a reasonably low/loud volume! Also try call her and discuss it with her. If she's truly nice like you said, she'll learn to be matured.

It's true that she is probably unaware of the volume of her music. It is also true that she may be hard of hearing. Maybe if you bring her some scones or muffins and have a little heart to heat with her, I'm sure she's appreciate it and turn the volume down or maybe suggest headphones. Hope this helps!

this one is an easy one to deal with- tape her music for evidence just in case
at 7.30 or 8pm play it back to her house at full bore, either one of two things can occur- she will be watching her tv shows and this will be a massive distraction to her watching her shows or 2 she will be about to go to bed and wont want to hear it at full blast right then.
do this every night for a week or two and you should be right.

the other option is to have freindly nieghbour chat to her about it, perhaps she has reason etc.

Talk with her first, she might be hard of hearing and not think she's bothering anyone. If she knows she's bothering you she might stop. Otherwise, call the cops. You are entitled to "quiet enjoyment" at your residence.

I presume she is hard of hearing. Have you asked her to turn it down? Maybe ear plugs would help. Maybe offer her some head phones.

Maybe go next door and ask her to turn it down?

Approach her politely and ask her to turn it down. If she refuses call the police.

Politely tell her that her music is disturbing you and maybe she could invest in a pair of headphones? lol
