well yes its abnormal, and it has a name, self injury. What you need to do is find some way to realize taht self injury is not the way to get out your anger/ stress. try to externalize it, get a punching bag or somethintg. take up a rough sport. i used to self injure, i just realized that there are better ways to do it, and when you externalize, the body feels better, it sort of cleanses you.

Yes it's abnormal...you need to get outside help for this problem before it goes any further. What are you going to do when the weather doesn't require a jacket? It will be obvious then.
Talk to the school counselor and they will guide you in the right direction....confidentially.

Cmon,of course it's weird, unless you don't have a conscience. I really ponder how you would think it may be normal? It is monstrous to think that harming yourself is normal. You said yourself you wear a jacket to hide the scars, because people would ask you about them, do you think their questions would seem odd? If not, you probably should find someone to talk to about it, or it will get alot worse.

It is abnormal, but not uncommon.
Try and center your punishment somewhere else. Like take it out on a stuffed animal, or punish yourself by not permitting yourself to go somewhere, or watch TV, or use the Internet.
Self harming does no good, if all else fails see a psychiatrist about your problem.

it is abnormal to me. why dun u try another way to get reed ur stress. examples: watching movies, hang-out to ur favorite places, talk to ur friends, share what u feel to someone u trust, read a motivation books, listen to the musics and ect. there are lots of way u can choose rather than hurting ur self. coz i wont makes u feel better at all, it will reminding ur stressness all the time instead. dont save ur burden to ur self only, thats make u stress indeed. try to trust someone as ur place to share. ok?
