so you have a project to list advantages and disadvantages of divorce.
Well' advantage is just one that you can come out of a marriage that has not left anything in it - save the two souls or maybe a single soul - rest is all irrevocably destroyed. I'd councel divorce for them
Otherwise,
your children live half their normal life.
you can't be left untouched of its aftereffects.
you are left with a part of the estate you used to enjoy.
your future relationships carry the effects of your previous marriage.
are these points a sufficient cue to your project.
it would have been better, had you put both the questions as one only.

u loose someone u love, u loose your dreams and the future u thought u had. u loose his family if u were close to them, u loose sister in laws u felt were like sisters, u loose the financial support u once counted on, so your life will change and not always for the best. it will feel like a death, the more u loved them the harder it is to get past. u have to recreate a whole new life which is not always easy to do. sometimes u loose your identity, because your entire life may have been just him and no one else. if u have kids they also suffer and have to grow up without the emotional support of the father figure or the mother figure. damages kids later on in adulthood. sometimes u have to leave your home, and the life u knew. u will be hurt, and it may take u many years to get over the hurt. can make u bitter and ugly inside, and resentful. u loose someone u counted on, someone u trusted your heart with, and u no longer feel the world is a safe place to be.the world as u knew it is gone and u don't know where to go or how to feel safe again.

Divorce is painful and costly for both parties. Separation is never a good feel. Besides, one needs to get used to being alone/single and start all over again if one wants to get into another relationship.

your kids will suffer
you now own half of what you had
it's against Gods rules so there must be something wrong with it
You lose a person you aren't trying hard enough to communicate with (most problems can be solved if people just communicate and discuss the issues and listen to each other to come to a resolution)

The thought of failure and alway's wondering if you could have done more. There is alway's the thought that you wasted part of your life with someone that you could have spent with someone else.
