Any type of climate change and someones going to come out and jump all over it spouting a gloom and doom theory. But the fact is; of course we are in an era of Global Warming and we have been in this warming trend since the end of the last Ice Age. This planet is trying to go back to the way it was before the Ice Age, which was more tropical. It will never actually become completely tropical again due to huge tracks of land that once were lush with vegetation that are now vast desserts. That's land that can't be reclaimed, unless we allow the World to do what it needs to do and flood that land with water.
Of course people who live near these vast treks of scarred earth don't want that to happen, so they cry about Global Warming. But in the long run it's a force that can't be stopped, like when that Asteroid struck the Earth and shifted the axis causing the Ice Age to occur. It will happen and like everything in nature it can't be stopped, because our planet is trying to right itself and get back to the way it used to be.

Well Tommy, Global Warming does exist but it is just getting rammed down our throats like these questions from India. As what we can do to help global warming precludes us because what little one person does to contribute to global warming is in no way close to the big industries who contribute to Acid Rain. I hope, Tommy, that you do realize the impact Global Warming is having on our environment and will promote, rather the demote, the significance of this germ.

I think it's funny that the same people who are alarmed about global warming were concerned about the impending ice age in the 70's. And they want to be considered credible.

It's not worth answering a question like this, you are not looking for an answer but rather admiration for your so called clever analogy. I still maintain that if it is even possible that global warming is real and we can reduce its impact, simple humanity dictates that we make whatever efforts we can to do so.

Ironically, back in the 70's, the great fear was that there would be another ice age. Yup, another doom-and-gloom civilization stopper, complete with glaciers sliding down over the top of northern cities.

Huh? So people that suspect global warming might be a cause for concern are like typical people that lived in the 15th century in Europe. Huh? Germs were on the limbaugh show yesterday. Are you a dittohead?

Just like the people that ask that kind of question on Yahoo Answers. You still think the Earth is flat, huh?
