Sounds like you don't have the right codec for the vid files. You need to get the proper ones to play it correctly. you could try going to divx.com or download a package codec in the web. one of the popular one is cccp codec pack. just type cccp codec in search

The Answer is Codecs. I would suggest that you download and install a program called "G-spot" (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GSpot.htm). Once installed, you only have to right click any video file to view which codecs it uses for video and audio, Also..it tells you whether you have those particular codecs installed!!!
(once you know which codec you need... go back to free-codecs and do a search then you will be right as rain)

Most likely the problem is the codecs. Go to free-codecs.com and download the all in one codec pack. this should run the files in windows. but if you don't feel like downloading codecs, i have found that VLC media player plays most vid files perfectly.

Its probably because of the formate the video file is in. Download vlc media player.. it usually plays all types of files in various formate. This should work

Quite possibly you might have to update your windows media player, QuickTime player or what ever it is that you’re using. Oh yeah make sure you transferred your video data in the correct format.
