My 2year old daughter attacked my new wood entertainment center with a permanant marker(black). I have tried the magic eraser with BAM. But if I do get it if off where it isn't as dark, could I stain it back to it original color?

When I was painting for a living I used to run across permanent marker on doors and such and I've had really good luck with rubbing alcohol.

imnot sure if the product is available in your country

but for me i can easily remove marker stains(permanent) by using:

acetone - used in nail polishing services
thinner - used to mix paints, remove paints

just use them with a cotton or a piece of cloth, remember that you may lose the color of the wood in this process, be carefull

Goof Off may work if Magic Eraser didn't work. Goof Off removes glue, paint, ink, etc.. It's sold at homecenters.

Use Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean...wet the sponge, (don't use a cleaning product) comes right off!

You can safely remove it with Mineral Spirits by blotching with a cotton ball.
