Water has no color. It's clear. The only time it does have color is if you're referring to large bodies of water, such as ocean, lakes, streams. Water will then have a 'color' due to debris, contamination, etc. that's in the water. It may then look green, brown, etc.

Water has no colour: it's transparent. The reason it sometimes looks blue is for the same reason that the sky looks blue - the specific refractive index of water produces a bluish colour when light passes through it.

It is not, as many think, clear...
It is infact a slight blue colour... Even once factors such as reflection of the sky, etc. are taken into consideration, water really DOES still have a slight blue colouring.
This can be verified in Stephen Fry's "Book of General Ignorance" or by watching series 1 of "Q.I."
