I would assume that all IT companies in London, or elswhere, would allow job shadowing. If I were you I would prepare a standard letter and sent it to as many as IT companies in London offering your services in that fashion. I am sure you are bound to receive some possitive results.

I tried similar techneques in Malaysia and it worked for me.
