tell the interviewer that (depending on your age), you had previous jobs in which you were in constant flux, changing your personality to suit whoever you were dealing with so as to be the most friendly and efficient. Bosses love personality but all they really care is the bottom line and if you can change yourself on superficial levels in order to help the company make a sale or finish a project, they will like it.

bosses want people who can adapt to circumstances and if your young, tell him that you lack years and years of experience so you are willing to learn how they (the company you are applying to) operate. bosses like that more than older employees who refuse to change because thats how they always done it.

They are trying to find out several things from this question.

(01) Can you get along with other or are you hard headed
(02) Do you take a leadership role in these type of situations or
are you a consensus builder.

Since, I don't know your work history I'm unsure if you have worked with a group of people on a project I can't really say what you should write. It should however, focus on your ability to get along with different personalities and detailing the project and it's successful outcome. They want to know your a winner and the resolved any issues and completed the project on time.

Here's what the hiring PR person would say to this question: If you can't answer this then you shouldn't be part of the company. I'll let you know if your experience, personality and job skills are a good match for the position we're looking for. Have a nice day.
