At the start of Jan i had a throught infection, adn got put on antibiotics (cant remember wihich ones) that month i only came on for 2 days, where as i am usually on for 7. then this month have came on 8 days early, i wentto the doctors to get a repeat prescription on my pill and she brough up that i was on the antibiotics and asked if i had taken extra precotions, an i said i hadn't realised untill half way through the course of antibiotics that they knock your pill out of your system so i hadn't. And she said that i hadn't had a proper period, the bleeding was something called BRB which i think ment break through bleeding. I dont know what she ment by this, and i have had to send of for a pregnancy test. Can any body explain this to me properly, and tell me if you think i am or not?

It sounds like there is a good chance that you could be pregnant. BRB is quite common, but on the other hand lots of things can effect your periods. Stress is a big one!

Are you having any other symptoms that you have not even realised? - Tiredness, bloatedness, wee-ing more, sore breasts/nipples.

I had no signs except a bit of tiredness up until the 6 week into pregnancy.

If you are, hope you are happy

Good luck

If you have had unprotected sex then there is always going to be a chance that you are pregnant.
The only way you will know is to do a test, either go buy one from the chemist or go to your doctor and ask to be provided with a urine test and secondary blood test to confirm.
I would be having serious thoughts about reporting the Doctor who prescribed you the antibiotics too, they should have reminded you when they did this that you needed to take extra precautions because it makes your pill ineffective. They have a duty of care to do this.
BTB break through bleeding is not uncommon in the early stages of pregnancy but could also indicate the STI (sexually transmitted infection) Chlamydia which can cause a lot of damage.
I would recommend a trip to the clinic for a full STI check whether or not you are pregnant just to make sure.
Good luck I wish you all the best.

Break through bleeding is when the hormone levels drop in your system due to something interfering with the pill(in this case the interferance would be the antibiotics) which means it is not an actual period, just some bleeding from lack of hormones. But it would depend what pill you are on, how long you have been taking them,if you did the baby dance around ovulation time, this type of stuff to say wether you might be pregnant. But i think you are worring over nothing sweetie, i really think that there is a very slim chance that you are pregnant, although anything can happen.I hope this helps you & good luck

Definitely do the test to make sure - I also had a 2 day period when I was pregnant with my son, so don't let that make you think you're not!

I got pregnant with my son while on the pill and antibiotics, and I'm now 30 weeks pregnant with a little girl, I also concieved while on the pill and antibiotics (a different pill from the 1st time!) - it was amazing coz I was going to stop taking the pill the next month anyway as we had just decided to try for a baby - lol!!

Good luck!!
