Ok, have one computer plugged into the dsl modem. Is it possible to just plug in a 2nd one and have net on it? I looked at the dsl modem and it shows several plug in places but didn't know ...ok ok so am blonde...but thats why am asking...thanx

maybe that little box with the lights flashing is a router? its not inside the computer....is that a router? it plugs into the power and then have computer phone line into the back of it

Follow the wires.. sounds dumb but its true.

Start at your DSL/modem (some are routers) It will be the box that connects to the phone line with another wire going to your computer. If you are using eithernet the plugs to your computer will look like LARGE telephone plugs. (The difference is there are 8 pins on the eithernet wire and only 4 on the phone wire).

If, on the modem, there are more than one of these 8 pin plugs then just plug your new computer into one of the empty ones. If there is only ONE eithernet plug then you will need a router to accomplish what you want.

To use 2 computers on (most) a DSL Modem, you will need something called a "Router". This can be purchased at any major retailer (Walmart, Best Buy, Target, ect.), and will cost about $30-$50. If you do not know what this looks like, you can ask anyone in the Electronics department of one of those stores.

i think of the media in basic terms tousled some info. I advise they even began a guy hunt for the incorrect individual. They see an incident like this and leap on it until now they get any advice.
