Yeah, you can find most of that stuff at the day or night markets. You don't need to make a 4 hour round trip every time you feel peckish. Apart from The largest night-market have you been to Rao-He night-market or Tong-Hua night-market, they both have a lot of special Taiwanese 'tit-bits'.

If you go to Tong Hua Night-market I seriously recommend the shui jian bao, you can find them at the top end of the night-market (closest part to 101).

Happy hunting.

Hi,

To get most of the different variety of Moachi, Iron Eggs, TaiYangBin in one area - many forumers from Singapore go to Jioufen to buy it - taste, quality, price, scenery.

Buses depart from 忠孝東路三段283號 No. 283 Zhongxiao E. Rd. Sec. 3, and the trip will take 2 hrs.
(MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station Exit 1; walk 30m towards Andung St. 安東街 )

You probably don't have to go that far for your goodies. Just take the MRT to Tanshuy The waterfront and and the main street. It's full of the eggs.
