Never read a history book, eh.
In the 1930's the German Nazi party though out the Weimar Republic, a democracy, and Adolf Hitler decame the german Chancellor. Upon the death of Hindenberg, and the Reichstag fire (German Parilment) Hitler secured his power.
The Nazi party became a huge public works program, recontituted there armed forces, beyond the limitations of the Treaty of Versallis. Entered in a very lucrative trade agreement with the Soveit Union. Germany began demanding the return of territories that were taken from it under the treay of versallis. Parts of Czech, Poland, Saarland, Rhineland. German armed forces entered the de miliarized zone of the Rhinelend.
The Nazi party also began a policy of trying to purifiy the German race by removeing undesireables from Germany , Jews, Gypys, other non-arryans.
By 1936 German was a strong military power again, had pulled itself out of the great depression, had a strong economy, and people were working.
Germany started the mass deportation of Jews, and began filling up the concentration camps.
In 1938 Hitler demanded and got the Studentenland from Czech at the Munich accord. Germany annexed Austria, signed a treaty with the USSR.
In September 1939 German and the USSR attacked and occupied Poland and WW2 offically began. France and Britian responded by decalring war on Germany.
In summation the 1930's in Germany was an extreme pivitol point in history, the free world sat idle by and watch ruthless dictators gain power and overrun little countries. The Germans attempted to exterminate the Jews and other "non desirables" of Europe by industrailizing genocide. 22million people lost their lives in WW2.
