In early days, caste system was designed with a perspective of better management of society. Each caste had a defined set of duties to perform. It was then neccassary for marrying in the same caste as the couple need not waste time in making adjustments to the environment as both ofthe couple came from the the same kind of culture.

But in today's world, we have gone beyond the scope of duties of our caste. So it's not neccassary to look out for same caste. Even the child being raised in the same caste is raised with some bit of a different culture. Hence they have to make adjustments after marraige, be it the same caste or a different caste. So why not widen our views.

These days caste system is not so relevant. I've seen many couples from different castes living happily together.

You have to win trust of your parents. You gotta develop the kind of wisdom that your parents should rely on you for every decision you make. The main reason why parents don't considers their childrens choices for marriages is that they don't trust their kids capability of making decisions. They believe that your wisdom is limited to a definite scope. Prove that you can make no wrong decisions. Prove that you are the best judge for your family's welfare. I'm sure the would opt out the stupid caste mentallity if they belive that your choice is the perfect one.

All the best...

:-)

If they really love each other, they should fight for it...The hell with that caste stuff, if their love can stand it all. Nothing is impossible when you truly love someone.Just like what happened to Paris and Helen...They fought for their love even if it caused a lot of damage or a lot of troubles not only in their family, but in their country as a whole.Yet they did not surrender. It doesn't matter what people say as long as love reigns in your heart. At least you've done your part in fighting for Love!!!! Don't be afraid on what they say...BE AFRAID if the person you love is GONE and will never be yours again........... Never in the real world......

Caste system prevailed, prevailing and will always prevail in Hinduism. None can eradicate it and if disliked, should quit Hinduism instead of criticising, blaming and humiliating. Castes are unchangeable. Hinduism is the oldest culture, tradition, custom, enriched with good memories and historical events. Can anybody change shakespeare's poetry or Newton's law? Of course none. One may accept or reject them but cannot amend, alter or modify. Hindus are categorised among 4 varnas with hundreds castes therein. Hindus worships and prayers are the jobs of their castes. Except Brahmins, none can read, write, learn or recite any sacred verse or attend the temple prayer. Hindus out of these 4 varnas are UNTOUCHABLES (except for sex alone by high castes males). High caste males' sexual enjoyment with low caste females may be accepted but not vice versa or their marriage. Hinduism is not a religion. It believes in inequality among human beings.
Light of truth eradicates darkness of falsity. Abundant literature is available in almost all languages to know the realities and truths and to decide own life, without misguided by others.

Did your say love, they have to deceide that they love each other so much that they want to live the rest of their lifes together, if that is true, then they should go ahead and prove to the world that love is a strong sentiment.

I'm sorry, he may love her, but not enough to go against his family. And if she agreed not to see him, then, she may love him, but not enough to stand next to him, (although it is understandable if he wasn't willing to stand with her). What they are going through now is called "missing the good times" with each other. This is a choice they made. Life is like that.

the question to be raised themselves is 'who is important?" family members/the girl. i go for family members just bcos i am on this holy earth cos of my parents.and this is wat a mistake everyone does ,they never think before loving someone . but i think your family members will agree if u force them and tell them the caste doesn't factor in the case of love, but i tell u they may tell u this "s, it doesn't factor in the case of love , but it affects a lot in the case of marraige.

this would be a serious mistake for both of them as the families of the higher class will not so easily take in a person of a lower class. both will suffer
