the music and commercials logs are pre=determined...the announcer is there is pull everythng together...personality is of the utmost importance here...be upbeat and relablr to yer listeners...don'r be long winded ("be on and be gone")...plan yer breaks in advance so you don't sound lost or confused...learn to ad-lib and tweak liners, wether forecasts, etc. to amke them sound fresh every time...and...above all...AVOID DEAD AIR!!!...

I have always felt it is the personality of the disk jockey in any venue, I have a choice of 4 country stations in my area, I stick with one because of the personality of the disk jockey.

Firstly get to know youre audience its no use playing rock to pensioners etc.Get to know youre equipment so theres no misshaps Research youre music before you play so you can give a little knowledge and this is handy inbetween songs and you can answer questions thus making youre spot more interesting
get used to talking to yourself have stuff prepared so you dont repeat yourself between tracks have a few bits of interest out of the news.
But at the end of the day its you thats playing
