They keep appearing on my office window and they don{t have a nest there.

Sylvia Browne, the famous psychic and author, talks about this in her books. Often a loved one who has passed on to the other side will send messages to say hello and let us know that they are happy. One way is for them to send birds, as in your case. Other signs can be a scent that you may associate with them like perfume or even cigarette smoke (which I've experienced). Perhaps someone is sending you a message in this way. I would see it as a good sign.

Sometimes animals that meant something to a deceased loved one can be a sign of that person saying Hello from the other side. Think back and try to remember if anyone close to you passed away that had a connection with a dove or similar bird.

It means you are the master of a vessel which you have built on the instructions of the Divine One and loaded with your family and two of each species of animal, in order to escape the flood which said Divine One has unleashed to engulf sinners and thinks you and family, etc, are the only ones worth saving.
Traditionally the dove is a sign of peace.

A dove means peace.
There is nothing symbolic about them sitting on your window sill. That's what doves do.

traditionally, dove symbolizes peace..
maybe, they're trying to tell you that you ought to make peace with yourself or between your loved ones which is hidden in your subconscious mind..?
