Child birth classes or Lamaze, depends on where you are. They call them Child birth classes at my local hospital.
I must say that I never bothered with them. My idea was that once labor hit, no class was going to be able to tell me what to do. It's nature, and I was pretty sure that nature would just do it's naturely thing, and it did. I had absolutely no need for classes. The doc. even told me that I did it like a pro!
Basically, when in labor, just follow what your body is telling you (and it will), and (try to) listen to your doctor. lol!

They are the Lamaze classes. The breathing exercises helped a lot. I remembered them when I was in labor and my husband helped me through. Also if this is your first pregnancy then the classes 'could' help you in the way of explaining some things as far as what to expect other than the 'pain'. I get more comfortable when I have more information and that is why the classes helped. All the best.

child birth classes I went with my husband however the breathing exercises did very little for me when I was in labor I just wanted my son born. Not only that I had natural labor all in my back I moved to fast for the epidural. Boy does back labor hurt I hope you don't have it and if you do I hope u can get the epidural.

Lamaze classes, I went when I was pregnant with my first child and I don't think they helped me. I forgot everything I was taught.
