Well for comedy I would suggest Grandmas boy, the Honeymooners, and most of Johnny Knoxville's movies, Norbit, Stranger Than Fiction, scary movie 1,2,3,4(the best is 4)
A couple of good movies are House of Wax, 9 Lives(w/ Paris Hilton), See no evil, Saw 1; 2; & 3, Lords of Dogtown, the # 23, Ghost Rider, and Flika

" Relative Strangers " it was so funny! It just recently came out, but it was a straight to DVD movie. I think it stars Neve Campbell, Danny Devito, and Kathy Bates. Also, try the "Covenant", it's not a comedy but it pretty good. Two of the best scary movies are "When A Stranger Calls" and one from a few years ago "Joy Ride" with Paul Walker.
