My husband and I got really sick for 4 days last week. Our kids all pitched in and did the grocery shopping, cleaned the house, rubbed our backs, brought us our medicine, and let us have the peace and quiet to sleep. Forget that they're only 11-20 years old, this was the most selfless act of their lives.

I have about 4 essays due in the next three weeks. My boyfriends dad used to be a high school english teacher, so he offered to edit every one of the essays if I gave him 24 hours to do so.
On top of that, I was short in money this week because my paycheck wasn't going through the bank (long, and very frustrating story), and since it wouldn't go through my work told me they could only give me $100 in a cash advance on my $700 paycheck (which almost everyone knows is close to useless over a two week period), so he offered to lend me money and told me I could pay him back $50/month if I wanted so I wasn't strained after my boyfriend told him how my work was treating me.
Some of the kindest things I have had happen in a long time : )

I guess the last really nice thing was about 2 years ago being entrusted to be a godfather :) and letting me hang out with their kids as if they were my own.
What is more important that trusting someone with your baby children?
Later on another friend out of the blue chose me to be the best man for their marriage!!! in my country the best man has a lot of expenses but me being unemployed couldn't cover them, so they actually covered most themselves!!! they made me feel very important and loved.
I hope i prove worthy of their trust.

Wow... this is a really good question.. I saw it this morning and I couldn't think of anything, so I went away for the day to give it some thought and I still havent really thought of anything that's happened recently.
The most recent I can think of was getting a massive valentine's day card from my sister, even though I'd specifically asked her not to get me anything, and even though I hadn't got her anything.

My car broke down and three 'hoodies' ran over and, without being asked, pushed my car to the side of the road and lent me a mobile phone to call the breakdown service. They're not all bad you know.

I just dislocated my knee, and have two young children. One of my girlfriends popped by unannounced and cleaned the house for me, fed my kids lunch, and then put them down for naps so I could get some rest. I was humbled!

years ago, i was a single parent and had zero money, no family and an abusive boyfreind. i was in trouble. i lived in desperation. i had an electric billfor 350 quid. no way of paying, they were gonna cut me off. i went to the electric shop in wood green, london. the guy there just paid it for me. he didnt want nothing in return. i thought he was gonna demand sex or something but he just paid it and i never saw him again. i think , looking back, he saved my life, i was near to ending it but he gave me faith to carry on.................now my kids are grown, im happily married and ok.....................i try to pay the guy back by sponsering kid in africa, as the guy was black
