His bat will be disallowed in this case? Even Hadlee and Ponting's aluminium bats have been disallowed.

so what he can afford 100 graphite bats and is now at that stage in his careers where he doesnot need graphite bats.
lets not forget ponting too uses a graphite bat.

it wasn't dhoni who used a graphite bat.it was ricky ponting and dhoni can still hit sixes .its just that he plays in a more mature manner
