i had a dream that i was being chased by a bear i was terrified but it still managed to corner me. i prepared to take my last breath but instead of attack me it stood up behind me and put its paw on my belly (im 7 months pregnant), it nudged my hand onto my belly also and lastly touched my chest. i was baffled in the dream, as i am now, and although the bear didnt talk it conveyed that i should ask someone to "translate" because i didnt understand. talk about symbolism because in my awakened state here i am on answers because i dont understand the symbol (bear) or its "message". thanks

Hi honey,

What a very interesting dream! Dreaming that you are being pursued or attacked by a bear, denotes aggression, overwhelming obstacles and competition. Perhaps you haven't had a very easy pregnancy? Alternatively, bears also symbolize the cycle of life and death and renewal. It may signal of period of introspection and thinking.

Strength, Introspection, Healing, and Self-Knowledge are the attributes of the bear as an animal totem in spirituality. I would say your dream was definitely spiritual, with the bear giving you strength and courage during the rough bumps in the road during pregnancy and otherwise, and acknowledging the fact that you have become more aware of yourself and the world around you. Perhaps you have some old emotional baggage to get rid of ...

All in all, a beautiful dream, filled with affirmation, support, guidance and love.

God bless you and your child*~

See: http://www.dreamsleep.net Dreams about being chased are mentioned specifically. I'll leave this one for a female dream analyst to answer, since it is not obvious. You should have asked the bear questions when you awoke. Do so in future. Where on your "chest " did the bear touch you? Is it possible that the bear represents a man, who wants to have sex with you, but is being deterred by your advanced state of pregnancy?

I suspect this is your first pregnancy and you are probably very worried about your baby. You are constantly thinking about the safety of your unborn child - this is in your conscious world - you don't want anyone touching your belly because you feel that this will hurt your child.

The bear is simply this external factor that you are so afraid of, it could be a person, a thing - could be anything that you may encounter in your daily life perhaps while commuting to work etc. The more we run away from something the more we are haunted by this in our subconscious world.

If I were you I will have my doctor examine me to make sure everything is alright with my baby, and try to avoid crowded areas and stick to parks and places you are happy to visit.

Good Luck, I am sure it is nothing sinister. Tell us once your baby is born.

The bear may represent qualities in your character or specific aspects of your personality. Sometimes bear represents a possessive mother

I am not a professional but usually being chased by an animal is your fears or worries. I would say you are worried about being pregnant and feel cornered.

I wouldn't put much else on it besides that you should name him Ben...LOL
