Why is it OK to imitate a white person Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Scouse, Manc, Brummy but as soon as you do an impression of somebody who is a different colour it is racist?
The people who call this racism are the ones putting up boundaries, when will we realise that everybody is human

David John - feel free to imitate me, I am not that far up my own @rse that I can't laugh at myself. And please don't comment on somebody else's stupidity when you can't even spell (what on earth is a whitch?)

It's okay to make a joke, if you're not a racist yourself, and everyone around knows that....
It's not okay to make a joke, even if you're not a racist and the people around you don't know....
I am sick of political correctness...I am not a racist, I am part Lao/Chinese/French/Indian...but if we can't poke a little fun of ourselves...then society is messed up....I mean I go to a store and it's not called a Christmas tree anymore, it's called a Holiday Tree? WTF....

You partly answered the question saying Scottish,Irish,Welsh,Scouse,Manc,Brummy, What is the connection, they are all British. Brits can laugh at themselves without having a problem about it. If a Brit has a go at a coloured person it seems to be classed as being racist, I will never understand why

There are boundaries and then there are walls. We all need boundaries in order to maintain self control and in order to live with one another in the ever-increasing closeness of society. Walls are a different matter, however. You can see across a boundary, but you cannot see through a wall. Walls hide things and give the impression of secrecy. Walls isolate, and in doing so retard growth of those who hide behind them. Walls actually encourage racism and anti-social behavior because they contain and intensify ignorance and false beliefs. Boundaries allow for exposure to the outside world, while offering protection for a culture. It is important for a people to retain their culture. God commanded at the tower of Babel that the human race should be scattered and that the language should be confused, that is to say that the scattering of people should call for different languages among the people. Therefore, the language of a people is its culture. This has led to great diversity among the human race, which is a good thing because it reflects the diversity of God. Humor is also distinct to each culture, and what one race will find funny another race will find offensive. The difference between what is acceptable and what is offensive should always be a boundary and never a wall. People can exchange ideas and learn from each other across boundaries, but when walls are erected communication ceases. When people stop talking to each other this is when wars erupt.

Completely agreed with you.
Also, when I was at school, a bunch of black girls bullied me and called me names like "white fang". Now even though they were clearly being racist, I did not find it offensive, in fact I just thought "so what that im white" but if I had come back with a comment about the colour of their skin, I'm sure I would have forever been hailed a racist.

White people are not that easily offended. If i started doing a Jamaican or Indian accent I would hope that this would not be thought of as racist. Maybe the words that they use are racist.

True there. People like making examples and enjoy "witch hunting". Its also quite humorous that the people who condemn racism are wearing clothes made by slave workers and feeding the fat pets with food while children in not so privileged places are starving to death. It just makes them feel that they are doing good in the world

The biggest racists are the ones who shout "racist" at everybody else. Biggest hypocrites on the planet. Black man says the word ******, it's all fun and games, white man says the word and it's Law Suit time, call Jessie Jackson.

you are so sweet, and very young, you see life out of fresh beautiful eyes. it is not the young generation that sees color so much it is the older generation that continue to teach it. so as long as life exist we will have racism ant it is so sad. just don't let this change you as a person because people are just that people. good luck in life.
