I always look at situations and say, "It could be worse." Look at one aspect in your life that is not going so well now, then think of someone else who has it worse. Count your blessings. You are rich if you are content with what you have. I know this sounds like sugar-coating stuff, but it works for me. And a positive attitude has that effect on those around you. Just look at your glass as half-full and not half-empty. I can see three positives from your submission: You at least have a career, you are at least furthering your education through study and being alone with no love is not so bad considering some of the relationship horror stories that we hear about.

I understand where you are coming from. In the last six months I have had two siblings diagnosed with cancer--one with a positive prognosis and one with a not very positive prognosis (very scary) and lost a pregnancy of my own. I have had a hard time with the whole positive outlook on life thing myself. I have no magic answer for you. I know I just try to take the positive moments as they come (because they are there. i do laugh at least once everyday.) And let myself bawl my eyes out when I need to, too. Lonliness is really hard. I say try to make sure you have plans with a friend or someone at least once or twice a week. And just try to get control out of things little by little (if it is something that can be in your control.) Good luck....may the sun shine your way soon!

something is out of control with you and change is needed; take a good look at yourself and invest in you; we all have times when we think that we hit rock bottom, not; I was just watching a program where the woman was left by her husband and has 3 deaf, mute triplets, now that is out of control. Sometimes, what we think we need and want at the time is not in our best interest; the jobs that I pursued although that voice was telling me no , turned out to be disaster, that love that I fought for so hard, turned out to the be wrong one; study hard , education is your key to a better life; start there and the rest will follow; there are plenty of jobs, loves etc; they will come in the right time; don't be down on yourself, everyone can pick that up ; best medicine is to help someone else who has less than you ; go to a dog pound, walk a dog, etc ; that fills you up more ; the rest will follow, improve yourself, find some spiritual help ; I like Deepak Chopra for inspiration, you will never get this day back, nor hour , nor minute;Good Luck

Like you said, "everything seems to fall apart", it is only a passing situation just like everything else in life. There is always a season for everything, so be aware of this and you will be alright. The sun always rises, be optimistic and I am sure the tides will turn for better.
Good Luck! Here is something to cheer you up:
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Sometimes I have to just cry and remember that, "...and He will wipe away all tears."
After that, it takes work.
Right now I'm sorting out some frustrations. Believe it or not, Q/A helps. Plus, I started writing positive statements in one of those 3 x 5 index binders and in spare moments, meditating on them and affirming them. I'm learning to actively use my mind to think good thoughts instead of just letting the anger, fear, and depression run over me.
First cry. Then sort out your frustrations. When you read self-help books...do all the exercises. And for God's sake, don't try to go through it alone.
Peace,
Earf!

Your opinion of yourself should not be reflected in your surroundings or happening. Thinking positive is not a one time thing, you should try to focus on the problem(s) and not internalize those happenings to self-condemnation. Set a goal for your career, Work toward that goal. If problems arise, you can work on the external force--without internalizing. The problem should be analyzed and handled. The problem is a problem--if you give it a personality, then you give it life. Keep it a problem to be worked on.

They key to your situation is to NEVER lose hope. If you lose hope, thing will always be in the dumps for you. I'm sure you have heard the old say, if given lemons, make lemonade. Strive toimprove things in your life, and they will get better. You cannot change the past, but the future, you do have some control over.

The God has given body and mind along with wisdom to human being to be helpful to others in need and utilize ones energy and resources for the betterment of others.Bit, most of us forget this and start counting positive and negative things in life. In fact good or bad, happiness or sorrows ,and positive things or negative things are only relative parameters used to measure their influence. Therefore, one needs to be positive with all other living things and propagate love ,affection and tolerance amongst the people. We should always count the eggs in your basket rather in the bag of the seller.
Therefore. have faith in almighty, be positive to life and try to help others , that is the positive inference of human life.

Be glad you have a career, opportunity to study, and are available when someone comes along. Then there is health and youth.
Life is what happens while you are making other plans.
Buck up, help out someone who has less than you.
And remember this too will pass......

Be grateful for the little things. The birds, nature, little children laughing, kittens playing, dogs licking.
There is always something to be happy about if you really try.
It is easy to get into the depths of depression if you want to. Lift up your head into the sky and watch the clouds.
