Work is possible an act to receive a better end but not by choice !

A person in a third world country will have to 'work' to get food and water for their body to survive. The enjoyment of life comes from being grateful to have the health to go out and get food and water.

In western society 'work' is done by choice or necessity to achieve a better end, food, fresh water, roof over your head, heat, clean clothes, a change of clothes, bike, car, quality leisure time, holidays. To work in western society is to receive so much, that we should be very grateful for the education we have received the opportunity to expand our brains daily and get paid for it so that we may enjoy what we do outside work.

How about enjoying what you do inside 'work' so that it is a chore any more but a pleasure. Living comes from within no matter what, where you are.

Good luck

I'm really not sure what your question is!

The likelihood is that within your work, there is a spin-off ~ in that you are doing some 'thing' from which another obtains benefit in some form.

The only real alternative to this is to go out and grow / trap + kill your own food, and maybe barter what you have left over for things you need and are unable to make for yourself.

As for 'how much living do you do....' The answer tends to depend upon what your criteria is for the word 'living.'

For me, 'work' means 'doing something that is for me fulfilling' ~ meaning, providing me with a sense of 'satisfaction.'

But, each of us has to find their own satisfactions within what we do: Some of us find that only in the ways they spend the money that their work generates ~ which I see as pretty limiting

Your working pay is carefully worked out so you need to come back again the next week! and the Government can 'fine tune' this by taxing you on the amount you earn! That's income tax! there is also another little money earner for them and that is called purchase tax! What! you say, "But I've already paid income tax on my dollar, now I'm paying purchase tax on the same dollar again!!! Finished! No! How about stamp duty? another tax! or vehicle registration, another tax! fuel excise! another tax! death duties! another tax! School fees! another tax! Departure tax! Housing rates! another tax! So the old dollar is taxed! taxed! and taxed again! In fact I would love to know how much one dollar generates in taxes once it is issued from the mint to when it's recalled and worn out! Now you know what you work for all your life! To keep politicians in the style and comfort they have created for themselves!!!!!!! Have a good day! lol.
