I would use a a domain that pertains to the theme of your content. Since your theme consists of jokes and humorous tidbits, use something like www.dailyfunnies.com If that domain is taken, you can easily add a hyphen or maybe a word such as "my".
For instance, you could use daily-funnies.com or mydailyfunnies.com or both like this, mydaily-funnies.com.
Don't forget, you can also use different extentions such as .net, .info and .biz
The main reason to use a domain that depicts your content is that for a new websites, a domain not only is the name of your site, but it also is a marketing tool to brand your site.
