First of all i like to make the spellings correct.it would be MAHATMA GANDHIJI.
During the period when gandhiji returned back whole of India was over a frying pan .But there was no solution about how the evil Britishers could be stopped from doing their notorious deeds.Just then Gandhiji gave the idea of SATYAGRAHA.with great surprise he found that it was a great success in south africa.So he wanted to utillise this great weapon against the British raj.This was one of the most important cause for which mahatma Gandhi returned back to India.

India was of more cultured people with great understanding but under Britisher's slavery and in more need of like him, so it was Gandhiji's first choice between. Whereas in Africa, Indians were very Little in numbers and the rest of but in majority were native Africans with almost zero understanding of humanity as they were the last jungle people on this earth to come out of animal type life. So Gandhiji would have vein his life there. It was perfectly right decision of Gandhiji. So don't mistaken by, that Gandhiji chosen easier way or because of mere partiality did this. It was more difficult task for him in India. I have seen many people having air conditioned rooms criticising many great personalities for their respective services, in wrong impression that nobody is of their intelligence calibre but the fact is they are not even one percent of 'their' calibre. Awaiting for your opinion too.
