Certainly man is an animal. If you attempt to "speak" philosophically (note correct spelling), you would have to include spiritual and religion aspect. Those aspect are not used in the classification of life on Earth.
The other question to people reading your extended question. Why philosophize with some body that cant even spell the word properly?

Yes. Humans and animals are guilty of the same "crimes." So, humans, as a whole, could be classified as animals.

We can do better than that. Within the animal kingdom we are primates and within that group we are great apes along with the chimpanzees, gorillas and orangoutans with whom we share a common ancestor.

When we see man killing man,strong man killing weak and innocent women and children being killed without any remorse by those god made stronger,I feel they have abused their might and therefore man should be in many classifications, from harmless,useful,etc to mad satanic,demonic etc. animal,no,beast would be better.
