can vets specialize in dogs only?

They can specialise in anything they want but I don't think you'll make the kind of money you may want to. People want a family vet for all there pets sorta like a family practitioner..

Many vets. do and some in just cats.
My cousin is a vet., in upper NY state, and he has several vets working with him and a few do specialize. Some in just exotic animals.

The can specialize in moles,but there is an economic side to it.
